Attach the chain to the storm door by inserting the pin provided into the chain pin mounted at the top of the door.

4 with a 1 8 3mm drill bit pre drill the screw holes for the chain bracket 5 attach the chain bracket to the storm door using two 1 2 screws.
The t part of the bracket should go into the link.

With the storm door closed pull the center of the chain links sections towards the hinge side of the door frame and attach a spring to the door frame and chain so that it pulls the chain tight.
Mount that bracket near the top of the storm door.
Test the installed hardware once you have finished assembling and attaching the hardware test out your storm door to make sure that everything is in working order.
A wind chain can protect your door and door hardware closer hinges against damage due to gusts of wind blowing the door open wider than it should.
Make sure that the door is level and that it opens and closes without any problems.

Before you drill the holes in the door frame you want to use your center punch to mark the location.
