How to change a ceramic tap washer.

Before you replace the tap valve inspect the tap seat for signs of aging or damage. Ceramic discs do wear out and the tap will eventually drip however replacements are available and good news manufacturers seem to be using relatively few sizes as standard. Clean the o rings in soapy water and if you live in a hard water area you may need to place the rest of the disk valve including the ceramic plates in a descaler. You will need a tube spanner or adjustable spanner for this depending on which taps you are repairing.
