How to clean a ceramic ocarina.
The amazing thing about ocarinas is that they don t need to be cleaned.
Never use alcohol based cleaners on shellac finished ocarinas as they will damage the finish.
The airway can be cleaned by folding up a piece of paper into a tab and rubbing the inside walls you ll notice powdery residue come out.
The most common way is to use a polishing cloth on the outside.
I wouldnt do a full submerge clean in water unless the ocarina was really dirty.

A dry cotton swab can reach most of the insides if need be.
And if spit is being clogged inside the ocarina.
You can wipe the outside of your ocarina with a damp cloth or a dry cloth to polish it up a bit.
The best thing to do is to is to wipe the blowing opening with a damp cloth.
To do so carefully pass a thin needle or flat toothpick back and forth through the mouth channel the part you blow through to clear out any residue or buildup.
