How to clean broken glass off floor.
To clean up broken glass use a broom and dustpan to sweep up the broken shards.
On hard floor surfaces sweep as much of the broken glass as you can find into a pile and carefully remove the largest pieces into a trash can.
Be sure to carefully shake off pieces stuck in the bristles and dustpan into the bag.
Grab a raw spud or really any other larger root vegetable cut it in half then press the cut halves into the glass.
Use an ordinary broom to sweep the pieces of glass into a pile then sweep the pile onto a dustpan before dumping the pieces into the trash can.
Wrap the glass in a piece of newspaper for disposal.
It may help to dust the area lightly with baking soda or baby powder to keep the smallest fragments from sticking to your floor or your broom s bristles.
Alternatively press the area with a slice of bread or a piece of duct tape.
Sweep the smaller pieces using a broom take a broom and sweep the visible but small pieces of broken glass.
Take a slice of soft sandwich bread and press it.
For small pieces of glass try wiping the area with a damp paper towel folded in half.
This helps to contain the area instead of spreading it around making it easier to clean.
Pick them up using a dustpan.
Use thick tape such as packing tape to pick up as many shards as possible gently set the tape over the broken glass area and repeat with a new piece of tape until most if not all of the shards have been picked up.
After sweeping the tile floor properly you should have removed most of the broken glass pieces but not all of them.
Sweep from the outside toward the center where the glass item first crashed and broke.
Glass pieces will stick right into a soft slice of bread plus it has a nice wide surface area to cover a lot of ground.
