How to dry engineered wood flooring.
Engineered wood floor cleaners are normally applied with water and a mop.
Vacuum and brush regularly and occasionally use a damp well wrung out cloth mop.
Solid wood flooring has been used in those environments for years while based on warranties much engineered flooring and some factory finished flooring apparently are not designed for those environments.
A damp floor is fine but you want to avoid any pooling of liquid left on your floor.
Everyone in the wood flooring business knows or should know that during winter wood floors especially solid floors tend to dry out creating seasonal gaps formerly referred to as cracks between boards.
To mop your floors use a slightly damp dry mop or yarn mop with the flooring manufacturer s recommended liquid cleaner.
Dry cleaning is the best way to clean engineered wood floors rather than wet cleaning.
If you prefer you can vacuum your floors on the hard wood setting.
For best results use kährs cleaner diluted in water or ready mixed kährs spray cleaner.
Next dry the floors completely by pumping out standing water then mop and towel the surface dry.

Change the building design and or operation.
The floor should dry within a minute if you ve used the right amount of water.
To acclimatise engineered flooring leave the boxes closed and flat in the room of installation in piles of 3.
If the water leak is localized in one area make sure to isolate that area by either closing the door or blocking off the doorway with a plastic tarp.
Dry your engineered flooring after you mop use a towel or paper towel to wipe up any excess puddles of liquid that are left behind.
Pick a flooring material that can handle the normal local environment.
A standard sponge mop may work as well or any mop with a soft head to it.

Then place a dehumidifier at high settings to pull out any moisture that is still in the air.
The first step is to absorb any water lurking on the surface of the floor.
It takes 5 7 days to acclimate an engineered wood floor to a room.
Use fans to circulate the air in your home and have patience as your floors dry.
To dry beneath wood floors which have been flooded first you should remove any wet floor coverings such as rugs or carpet.
The mop should be well drained to avoid too much moisture which can damage an engineered floor.
