How To Clean Mat Board

How to clean mat board.

Place a paper towel over the mat board and with the iron on a low setting iron the matting. A lot of mat board is made from cotton rag which will respond well to ironing. Our rental house cupboards looked like they were wooden but they were actually matte laminate cupboards i learnt later. They look good and have a nice shine but now that i have not cleaned them in a while am struggling with how to clean matte laminate cupboards.

Use warm soapy water to clean the mat. You can also use a dish scrubber the plastic ones you don t want to use anything to agressive or sharp on the mat. If your doormat has a strange smell you can use baking soda to get rid of the odd odor. You can let the mat sit for about five more minutes before vacuuming.

Be careful not to burn the picture matting. I found that i had to clean off the eraser all the time to remove the bundles of lint so it could work again. You may need to scrub the surface of the mat a bit with a normal dish sponge or brush to remove any excess shortening. Once you cover the mat in dish soap and warm water scrub it to remove the excess shortening.

It can damage it.
