Rub the dark spot with a piece of 000 steel wool alternatively resprinkling the spot with mineral spirits and rubbing with the steel wool until the polyurethane finish is removed.
Wipe away mold and mildew spots using a solution of one quarter cup of bleach mixed with one cup of water.
Soak cloth in some hydrogen peroxide and dab onto all of the dark spots.
